Quality of Care Collaborative Australia

In 2015, the QuoCCA project began with the aim of supporting children and their families to receive excellent palliative care, through planned and coordinated education to health care professionals (HCP) local to the child and family.

Off the success of the first QuoCCA project, another round of funding was granted by the National Palliative Care Strategy 2010, which has been named Q2 and will continue until midyear 2020. Specialist paediatric palliative care services of Australia are once again collaborating to deliver education in evidence based paediatric palliative care to build confidence and capacity for HCP in any location; rulal, remote or metropolitan.

Q2 has extended the project aims to include improving confidence in HCPs ability to deliver bereavement support, and build sustainable education resources for all HCP in Australia.

Nurse Educators Alison McLarty, Queensland, and Julie Duffield, South Australia, can be contacted as per below for more information, education or consultation regarding the project or referrals for palliative support to children and their families.
